You can obtain public record information on the inmate you are writing by visiting the links below. In most states, a search for the inmate can be conducted online to give you all public record information concerning the inmate and the crime for which he is incarcerated. In many states, you can find photos of the inmate. We require our members to list the crime for which they are incarcerated and their actual photos. If you find an inmate on our website who has placed a false photo, or false information, please let us know.

Public Record Information On Federal Inmates:

You may search the Federal Bureau of Prisons database using the inmate's register number, DCDC number, FBI number, INS number, or by using the inmate's first and last name. You can conduct your Search Here.

Or, call the National Inmate Locator number at (202) 307-3126, 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM weekdays, EST. Be patient. There may be a a lengthy hold time.
